This summer I noticed some brake fluid on the hanger floor under my right brake
unit. It has been a slow steady drip. I have been involved with other projects
on the aircraft so I ignored it. However, now it has come time to address this.
First establishing what unit is installed. I am guessing my brakes have been replaced
with Cleveland unit? The older logbooks were missing when I bought the aircraft so
I am guessing on a 1946 there should be a specific model Cleveland used?

Could be Cleveland could be McCauley as there was an SB to allow the latter at some point.

At least on mine, the right brake's line is quite convoluted on its way from the master to its exit on the fuselage. After fixing I found that only vacuum bleeding would get all the air out.

Can you post a picture of your brakes, specifically where the leak is coming from? Good picture will indicate the type of wheels and brakes installed on you airplane.

To be honest you could have Cleveland, McCauley, or even Goodyear wheels and brakes installed. Initially all these aircraft were fitted with Goodyear wheels and brakes, but a lot of those have been replaced with the Cleveland units largely due to finding suitable replacement parts such as disc clips and brake pucks. McCauley wheels and brakes once owned by Cessna are now owned by Cleveland.

Your issue may be as simple as replacement of an 0-ring in the caliper or there may be an issue in the brake line.
