Does the AN842-10 crankcase breather elbow have 1/2" pipe threads?
Thanks

I think they are 1/2 inch pipe threads. They tighten as you thread them in.

While we're on the subject of the crankcase breather elbow, I have an 85-12F on my 140 and I've debated over
whether to re-route the breather tube over the engine or let it remain going down and under the cylinders. I've heard 'pros'
and 'cons' about this. Any suggestions on doing this?
Also, I've read about replacing the elbow with the extended tube elbow that protrudes further into the crankcase.
I would like to try this also, to eliminate some of the 'corrosion proofing' that blows back on the belly from the breather
tube in its current configuration.
Thanks for any input.

Try rerouting it over the top first. That should help a lot by itself.
