Window hinge pins

For some weird reason my window hinge pin in front was halfway out and the rear one was missing after the most recent annual. Maybe someone was trying to steal my Aera 660 while it was parked outside. Anyway does anyone know if all those cessna hinge pins are the same part number? I figured I would just put two new ones in.

I had no idea such a thing as pin stock existed, but I still need to find a place to get some. Maybe the shop across the lot has some.

Don't use a stainless pin in an aluminum hinge!

Why would low corrosion stainless not work in aluminum? I was thinking 304?

It's hard to explain in one paragraph, but metals have a property called "nobility" measured on a chart of "galvanic corrosion." Metals on one end of the chart (magnesium, for example) are prone to corrosion and on the other (stainless steel) are not. The issue is, corrosion is promoted based on the distance on the chart between the two metals in contact. So, magnesium castings with magnesium bolts would not promote corrosion, but aluminum in contact with stainless steel would. The aluminum corrodes at the expense of the stainless.
So, if your intent is to protect the pin, stainless is a good choice, but if it is to protect the hinge, cad plated is better. (Cadmium and aluminum are very close on the scale.)
