Recently purchased a 1950 C-140A and would like to find out what the recommended tire pressures are. All are standard size tires and it has a Scott 3200 tail wheel.
About 90% of my flights are out of grass strips but I am starting to spend more time on hard surfaces.
Appreciate any advice...
Dennis

I keep mine at 24 for the mains and 35 for the 3200 tailwheel. I operate almost exclusively on pavement.
Mine is a 48 with the forward swept gear.

I can tell you the 120-140 operation manual says 16psi, but I don't have a 140A operating manual.
I run 16psi in my 8.00's and primarily do wheelies on asphalt (I miss my old grass strip) with no extenders on early legs.

16-20psi on the mains.
35 on a Scott 3200 tail wheel.
I run 7:00 X 6 mains and fly off grass quite a bit.

There's a graph somewhere on TP for the Scott 3200. It's small and hard to read but is based on tail wheel weight. 30 works fine for me. I keep the mains at 27 or 28. When they get low (around 20) it's hard for me to push the plane out of the hangar with full fuel.

16-18 on my 6.00x6 and 15-30 max on my 8.50s
