Brake lines.

Post by 7677 »

Hi all... just replaced the landing gear on the 120, and am also taking off the wheel extenders. The existing brake lines are longer for the extenders, and kinda beat up, so I'd like to replace them. Does anybody know of a source for already built ones? I can if I have to make them, but not sure what the specs are for the tubing. It looks like maybe 1/4" made from 5250 aluminum? Hoping somebody has been there and can point me towards places to get the materials...

Thanks,

Ken Hamilton

Check the earlier post on wheel extenders, plenty of information there.

If they're too long you can cut them and re-flare them (NOT AUTOMOTIVE FLARES!)

If You have Cleveland brakes you need a flexible hose to connect to the brake housing. This was discussed in another recent thread.

Thanks for the replies so far... I guess I wasn't very clear in my last post.. What I am looking for is the specs for the aluminum tubing used. I can make the lines OK, but not finding out what grade of aluminum to use. I know it's 1/4"

Thanks,

Ken Hamilton
