Cessna 120 STC for Lycoming O-290 question

Hello everyone,
I just purchased a C120 and I'm trying to find more information re upgrading the engine to something with a bit more power as I have a relatively short grass strip that I plan on operating the C120 from. The original engine was a C85, but the gentleman that I purchased the C120 from installed an overhauled C90. Unfortunately, the C90 still is a bit lacking on power so I'd like to install either a Lycoming O-235 or O-290 to improve climb and short field T/O performance. Because of the negligible difference in weight (O-235 vs O-290) I'm leaning towards the O-290 because of the additional power of the O-290.
Questions:
1.) Have any of you C120 owners installed either the O-235 or O-290 via the STC's listed on this site?
2.) If "yes" to #1 above: Which STC/engine/prop did you go with? Is there anything you would've done differently looking back? How do you like the performance of the C120 with the larger engine?
3.) Besides engine and prop, what else does the STC require? (Example: New engine mount, etc.)
4.) How do I go about purchasing the STC?
5.) Are there any negatives to installing the O-235 or O-290
Any help/advice you guys can provide would be much appreciated. Even if you've not installed the larger engine via STC yourself, but know someone who has, I'd like to talk to him/her if you can connect me.
