AILERON CONTROL PULLEY -- F-140

Is there a superseded number for this "little" guide pulley that's located center & just aft of the rear spar carry-through? The parts book calls for "F-140". I could probably be OK with a new bushing & bolt...but, in searching for "just" a new bushing (0411783) I'm shocked at prices. (Yep, when we start doing "little" jobs like installing a GPS antenna, we get a case of the might-as-well's & I can see that I
might as well replace
that pulley while we're there

Update: S394 is the current # and is a "nylon" pulley -- used on several Cessnas as well as ours. The Pulley is cheap ($7.12)...the bushing($31.72), not so much.

Cessna has always been very proud of their steel bushings. Check out the ones in the trim screw horn.
I may have a line on the original pulley, NOS, for very cheap, if you're interested.

Thanks, John -- I may be. I've already ordered the "new & improved" pulley from McFarlane + a new bushing, so I'll see how that looks. My IA sez that my pulley is OK -- just need the bushing &, of course, a new bolt. If any doubt remaining, I'll holler. The clearance twixt the cable and the other pulley brackets is really close up there, as you know -- I recall having seen a case where the cable had practically sawed through a bracket

OK, I have in hand 58 of these babies. They're NOS, surplus. I have a friend who spends his waking hours pouring through aviation auctions and close outs. He sent them to me for next to zip. (He has 1000 of them).
I don't want to turn this thread into a commercial venture, but if you need one (there is only one used, on the rear of the carry through spar, supporting the aileron carry through cable) I'll be glad to send it along for not much more than the postage. Drop me a Private message.
