O-Rings

I have a Cessna 120 Wing Tank fuel drain with a 1/4 NPT valve which needs a new o ring. Replacement ring seems to be an MS29513-006. Aircraft Spruce catalogue says MS29513 is not compatible with Auto Fuel. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I changed the whole drain. they are about $16 each. If you are fast you can change them with out draining the tanks. I lost maybe a cup or two of fuel.

MS29513 should be OK as long as there is no alcohol in the fuel.

If the drain valve is a Curtis valve, it is not rebuildable. The seal is not an o-ring; it is a flat washer, and the valve is known not to last through the second seal. When it fails all the fuel comes out.
