Yingling Y-1 Sprayer
This is probably a long shot but curious if anyone has an old Yingling Y-1 sprayer they’re willing to sell or knows where to get one. I’m slowly working my way to the qualifications to do SEAT aerial firefighting. One of the hardest quals to meet is the 100 hours of application time. I’m finding that ag flying is hard to get into unless it’s in the family or maybe one lives in the Midwest. Living in the hill country of Texas doesn’t help. My 120 had a Yingling spray rig installed back in the 50s and a light bulb came on and I figure if I could hunt one down I could build up application time that way. Also thought about buying a Cessna 188 but this would be easier, cheaper and less risk. If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated!
