Wanted: oil temp gauge for 1947 Cessna 120.
All stock gauges seem to be either too big or too small for the original hole in the instrument panel.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Oil Temp gauge
Both the Scot and the Rochester gauges from Aircraft Spruce should fit, unless the panel has been modified.
Read the Neal Wright article about the adapters for the gauges. He's describing my own personal tale of woe...
(Actually, I see they're different sizes! Anyhow, the Rochester (2-1/16") should be original.)

Re: Oil Temp gauge
That's interesting, given that the capillary tube has been cut off...This is a 5-40084 Scott Oil Temp Gauge that is for sale. Guaranteed to work and pass your inspection or your money back.

Re: Oil Temp gauge
I replaced mine with Spruce’s and worked like a charm
Tested the bulb in boiling water and got a sharp 212F
Pretty easy to replace the whole thing
As John mentioned follow Neil’s article.
My faulty one stated indicating 140F no matter what, when I was used to 175F
