Hi All,
The tail light mount on my 140 has over size holes and I would like to replace it with correct size holes.
The IPC shows part number is A-3457.
I am not finding it with any of the usual part suppliers.
Any suggestions where one may be found.
Thanks,
Rick

I'm not sure I understand the problem. Can't you replace the fasteners? It's a Grimes part. If you need a new one, try https://www.avliteaviation.com

Re: Tail light mount
The IPC list the Figure and Reference number as 13-6, Mount, Tail Light.
This is the part that the screws go into to hold the Tail Light assembly.
The Screws are listed as AN515 4R8.
These holes have worn out and require a -8 screw to hold the assembly.
I was hoping that I could find a replacement mount so that I could go back to the original size screws.

Re: Tail light mount
What exactly do the screws screw in to? Could you, for example, use rivnuts?

Re: Tail light mount
Upon closer examination yesterday I see that the original set up were lock nuts swagger to the back of the mount.
The screws were machine screws.
One nut was missing altogether and the other had the machine screw broken off in it.
They had used Sheet metal screws to to secure the light fixture.
Rivnuts are a possibility.
