lost lower part inflight so i need the whole shebang and I can't stomach Univair for a new one. Anyone have one lying around that they would part with for a fair price?
Much appreciated,
Aaron

...not so sure about "fair price" ...will accept "OBO"(?) , but these are on Ebay. (eBay item number:192739922106) There are some others there, too -- search for "Cessna 140 Latch". I do not know the seller. Mac

Re: WTB Cowl Latch
thanks for sending that! I saw most of the easy-to-find ones...they all just seem like total fatigued junk for so much $$$! (no offense to any forum members who may be selling said easy-to-find latches ).
Was hoping someone just had a drawer full of new old stock sitting around that they wanted to pass my way. I am going to post some questions about Dip Davis latches in the technical forum. That's the other option!

The Dip Davis "conversion" will work great...and, should you or a future owner want to return to the old latch style it's certainly doable. (...and, there's always a chance that someone who's found something OEM squirreled away will still come forward with it ). Good luck -- let us know how it goes.
