This is interesting because I'm 6'4 and legroom is usually more an issue than width for me. Before getting a 140 I tried on everything including a Luscombe, but to my surprise the 140 with its yoke out of the way of my knees fit like a glove. It's how I felt when I tried on a 1973 Volkswagen beetle in college which, tho small, fit me perfectly.
The Bearhawk patrol model year 2035 I'm trying to build has a tandem seating arrangement with a cockpit width of 32"... FWIW!
