Re: UAVIONIX Wing tip ADS-B
I just pulled the SkyBeacon off my left wing. I decided to replace my old KT-76A with a new Stratus transponder. The unit was on my 140 when I bought it. I did have to replace the original unit under warranty because it's altitude sensor quit working. Super easy process. I've talked to the uAvionix people a couple times and they are super helpful! My only 'gripe' with the unit is that you cannot see the status lights without dipping your head almost down to your lap due to the shape of the bottom of the wing. Otherwise, it's been a great UAT unit. Super easy to remove and replace. I can't imagine how it could be any easier to install or remove. Keep your old light assembly in a box somewhere in case you ever decide to make a change.
