Over threaded Quick Drain

I have a 1946 C140 my quick drains were leaking so went to change out which have done on many other aircraft types had the cav-160 went to put back in and someone had over taped the hole so would not thread back anyone else had this issue and had to use a larger thread quick drain thanks.

Don't know if this is your problem or not, but there are two different fuel drains in the field. One is a straight thread with o-ring and safety wire and the other is a tapered pipe thread.
