Proper size AN6 bolts for motor mount
I'm reinstalling my 0-200A motor on my Cessna 140A. The old bolts are two different lengths. The short ones are AN6-42 and the long ones are AN6-55 and about 57. All have holes in the threads and castle nuts. Pretty sure they aren't the original bolts or the correct ones but can't find a spec for them. Do they need to be drilled with castle nuts? Spruce specs 4 AN6-55 bolts but my mount needs two different sizes. One of the comments suggested 2 AN6-54A and 2 AN6-43A which would be undrilled with fiber nuts or metal lock nuts. Any references to the proper bolt type/size/nut type? thanks

Re: Proper size AN6 bolts for motor mount
I am restoring a 47 140 and had to buy an engine mount so didn’t have anything to compare anything with except looking at the parts book. I e-mailed Smokin Rivets up in WI and a week later I had a complete set of hardware that fit perfectly. I think the cost was around $12.00 including mail cost. I was very pleased!

They should be the same as the O200 STC for the 140, so maybe Randy will chime in with an answer.
Meanwhile, I'm changing the title of the thread from AN5 to AN6. Hope that's what you meant...

Re: Proper size AN6 bolts for motor mount
According to Smokin Rivets, the proper bolts for my installation are AN6-44A and AN6-54A. Ordered from AS and arriving Wednesday. Thanks to all for the help.
