Re: Seat Belt Brackets
Within 12 months of implementation of the AD. Plenty of time to find a magnet.

Re: Seat Belt Brackets
I’ve been meaning to order one of these, no more procrastinating I guess. Just placed an order with Yingling, we’ll see how long it takes to get here.

Seat belt center bracket
Hello,
Seems to be FAA is caring about this, I have seen other post, Should I queue my info at the end of the first post?
Is feasible ?
I received this morning an email from FAA with the attachment below.
I was aware of the problem and the New York case, where a "seasoned" pilot lost his life.
PDF is 2022-08-03.pdf
And Title: Project Identifier AD-2021-00114-A
Have a very nice day !
Kind regards,
Horacio

Re: Seat Belt Brackets
This is worth a read on why this AD should be complied with.

Re: Seat belt center bracket
There was also an accident in Canada where that pilot was killed. You definitely need to check that your bracket is steel and not aluminium.

Re: Seat Belt Brackets
I just bought two from Cessna, thought i would need both but one of my 2 planes had steel already so if someone needs one let me know it cost me $70.

Re: Seat Belt Brackets
Continuing on from my post a few days back as a stand-alone post, I have a C120 and therefore have no flap handle bracket in the seat pan. David Lowe calls for the use of a 0411667 bracket. Cessna calls this part out on page 3 of the parts catalog but never shows a detail of what the part looks like (Figure 1). I am assuming this part number is the same fuselage skin-side seat bracket on all C120/140s. If so, this would be a different bracket than what all you C140 fliers have used to upgrade to a steel alloy bracket in the center location. Am I correct? For future reference It would be great to see a photo of this numbered bracket installed on a C120 following David Lowe's STC. And also, can this bracket be purchased from Yingling? I see one C120 owner did so a while (years) back, but I am a little confused at this point.
My C120 is not airworthy at this time and therefore this is on my "punch list" as I bring the aircraft back to flying status.
