Do you have the Goodyears? Most all have the Cleveland brakes on them. I only know ours and how the Cleveland work on it GREAT never a second guess. Oh congratulations on that smart aircraft purchase hopefully with a little of your help on it you have fun with it for long time.

I have about 100 hours on my 140, that I acquired about a year ago. It has Clevelands. The stopping power is truly impressive, but I have found that I don’t really need brakes on this plane, other than for control during Crosswinds or tight steering. I would almost rather have slightly weaker brakes. So far, in my admittedly small set of hours, I have encountered several times when I got on the brakes too hard and almost regretted it, and never in a situation where I needed a lot of brake and didn’t have it. Having said that, there is probably a scenario that I have not yet encountered where I would want the incredible power of braking that I have now. I should add, that the Cleveland brakes are super easy to maintain, and parts are readily available.
