Distance from panel to oil screen?
Can someone give me the distance from the panel to the oil screen where the temp probe goes. I ordered a new temp gauge and overlooked the fact that it only has a 36’ capillary. I can’t get to the plane easily as it’s a few hour away currently. Don’t want to order another if I don’t need to thanks for your input.

I don't have a number, but I'm guessing you'll be OK as long as the routing is fairly direct.
(I did some "research".) The oil tank CG is -31.5". The back of the oil screen is 4-5 inches aft of the CG of the oil tank so, say, -28". The question is, how far aft of the datum (leading edge of the wing) is the panel (aft edge of the door post)?
Sounds like it might be close... You want enough slack so the vibration doesn't cause it to crack.
