I’m new at this but here goes.
I am recovering 140 wings. The aft part of the wing tip is kind
of sharp. What should I put on that edge to soften it a bit

If you are new at this (wether you are a certificated A&P or not) you need an experienced A&P to look over your shoulder while you are doing this.dmortenson wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 7:19 pm I’m new at this but here goes.

They will have to sign off on your work anyway.
They will be able to help you with this and the many more questions you will have.
You will also need an to IA look at the work and sign the 337 when you are done.
Two signatures are required. If it is an IA he can sign both spaces and give you the help you will need.
Good luck,
Rick

Thanks, getting all that lined up just want to get ahead of the curve .
At the fabric covering course the instructor said to put poly brush on the leading edge and let dry before installing the fabric
My thoughts are that I not put the poly brush on where I will be brushing on poly tack.
Your thoughts on that. I do have an AP AI looking over my shoulder but most haven't done fabric work in a long time.
Thanks just want to do the best job possible.

Steve Sachs, Fall Creek Airport, Gladeville (between Murfressboro and Lebanon), Tn. He has done lots of fabric work in the area.

Once you get your project rolling, I would be interested to know roughly the ballpark of prices you get for recovering the wings. I am, hopefully, still a ways out from having to do this. But I plan to keep this plane for a long time, so it’s in my future.
