Door latch spring
Does anyone know where to get a new door latch spring? I saw there use to be someone who could make them but I can’t find the post anywhere. Thanks

Re: Door latch spring
I have emailed that address a couple times in the last couple weeks with no response. I was wanting a spare set for down the road.

Re: Door latch spring
Research the archives of the newsletters. I had the same issue in the early 1990s when I was doing my restoration. Found the information there, bought the piano wire recommended, built it up, and it's still working. Just can't remember what year, but if the newsletters are digitized, you should be able to find it. Tommy

Newsletters on the website are roughly from 2005 to present with a few gaps. I did not see the schematic for the door latch springs in them.

Re: Door latch spring
There were indexes (usually a yellow page) in the mailings to club members back in the 90's that gave the information for where to look up the 'how to' for things like the door spring. I have several boxes of old newsletters in my shop. I'll see what I can find and pass it on. Tommy

Re: Door latch spring
Use piano wire to make your own replacement spring, or try to contact Mr. Lee Chavez. I will try to attach the R&R Instructions. Br, Mike

Re: Door latch spring
Found a box in the hangar with calendars and info going back to 2001. Still looking for the newsletters where the door spring info is. I'l find it tomorrow (I hope) and put the info out then. Tommy
