Thanks for the stripaper advice. Airplane is low time so I doubt there will be an issue but we will be sure and look for the cracks at the steps. Thank you!

I removed a bent gear leg to replace it a while back. I made a cradle from a saw-horse and a cushioned fuselage shaped wooden support on the top of the saw-horse. I believe I was cautioned to tie down the tail due to the cradle being close to the CG? Just a thought.

I do something similar with Randy's jack pad...put a thick microfiber rag between the jack pad and the gear leg...no paint damage.
