ELT Installation

Post by 7896 »

Hello,

I just completed the installation of a new ACK ELT. Overall it came out very nicely.

One question. There appears to be no open holes for the routing of the cable to the instrument panel. Has anyone drilled wire routing holes through the bulkheads? If so where? Or are there other creative ideas?

The cable is currently routed along the inside of the fuselage inside the side carpet panel and the exposed as it transitions from under the carpet to the inside of the door frame.

Thanks for the help!

Michael

I mounted mine in the same position and routed the cable up and over the right hand door.
You will need to take the trim pieces down from above the door and the front of the door post.
Not easy but it can be done.

My ELT is in the same location. The cable follows the battery cables path.

"...cable follows the battery cables path"

Mine, too. Incidentally, a beautiful panel, Michael! Appears as if accomplished by a very talented & meticulous engineer ;)
