Hi everyone,
I fly a 1946 C140 in Germany, where landing fees are the norm, said fees being varying from airfield to airfield but generally are based on MTOW and noise levels. Sometimes, resident aircraft get to pay a bit less, although not at my home field.
As neither the 120 or 140 are listed in the FAA's AC 36-3H (Estimated airplane nosie levels), has anyone here by any chance ever found out/measured/guesstimated or otherwise come across noise levels for a a 120/140 in dB(A) ?
(Mine has a C85 with MacCauley prop)

The 1946 models came with straight pipes and they are loud. Probably the best you can do is to put 150 mufflers on it, then I think you could justify using the noise levels for the 150, which I'd expect to be readily available. (55-59 dBA)
