Magneto mount nut torque spec?

Post by seberggelet »

Hello,

mounting my Eisenmann LA4 mags back onto the C85. Is there a torque spec for the two mounting nuts per mag?

Thanks,
Sebastian

I think they are 5/16-24 thread. If so, 180-220 in-lbs.

If they are 5/16-18 then it's 155-175 in-lbs.

This information can be found in the C-series overhaul manual X-30010.

Yes, agree with 6643, the overhaul manual list torques not specifically called out specifically elsewhere.

Ha ha! Don't I wish! Still, BMW is putting my name on all those cars...

BTW, I was never the Ohio State football coach, and I also am not a famous British motorcycle racer, although I do own a 1974 Triumph Trident.
