Felt Engine Baffling

Post by tomreneau »

My aircraft has covered felt for engine baffling which is attached with staples. At some point a piece was replaced with new material and pop rivets. Id like to go back to original with that small piece. Anyone have an idea on sourcing the material and the staples? Thanks.

If memory serves me correct John found a source for the original type engine baffle seal that he utilized on his airplane.

This is the Wag Aero equivilent I had for awhile, looks similar to what you have. May not be 'original'.

David, now that you mention Brown Aircraft, I do think that's where John purchased the material when he re-did his C-140.

Good work, and thanks David!

Just a feeling, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if those were the same part.
