Accessory case cover for pull starter

Call me crazy but I actually like hand propping. Starts first or second blade and feels more vintage. I think I'd rather have the weight savings and ditch my Delco Remy

Does an accessory case cover exist to cover a retired starter?

Interesting. They must have existed as the 120 was delivered with the same -12 engine less the starter and generator. But, as far as I can tell, neither the engine nor the airframe parts manuals list the cover.

Fresno had a vacuum pump pad cover (for when my pump finally dies on my 0-200, I carry it in the plane with tools and gasket/paste just in case). That's how I thought of the starter pad cover. Fresno has a bunch of oddball new-old-stock stuff. You are correct, not in the parts manual.

Do you prefer Permatex #3 on these cover gaskets?

I think it is perfectly ok to use your old gasket as a pattern and cut a cover plate out of .25” 2024T3 or 6061T6 aluminum plate. There is no direct oil pressure against it, only “splash” oil.
