I'm in the process of installing an AV-30C and struggling to find a location to mount the Magnetometer.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I put the Garmin one under the hat shelf mounted the right way up with some stand-offs. Obviously you can't put anything ferrous near it, but no issues thus far.

I don't have a hat shelf so I'm going to try mounting the magnetometer on the wing rib adjacent to the pitot tube.
