WTB - Oil filter adapter

I’m looking for an oil filter adapter.

pls let me know if you know of one .

Check with Aircraft Spruce, you need a TAF-L oil filter adapter kit, $485 currently. Don't forget to remove the oil screen in the engine when installing the adapter.

Not withstanding the arguments for or against, as far as I know, removal is still required by the STC. The idea that it was optional was added years ago by El Reno, but they never had the authority to do so, and there was never any basis for approval.

I remember when El Reno had that in their instructions John.

Yeah, I do to. El Reno once had an exclusive marketing agreement with F&M, the STC holder. They made that change without any basis for approval.

I think Mike left out the word "forget" in his original post and I overlooked "to" and thought he was saying "Don't remove".

Hopefully we've made it all clear...
