Hi all,
I need to make an elongated slit about 5/8" L x 5/16" W on the underside of my fabric wing to accommodate two adjacent 5/16" OD tubes. What is the best way to do this?

Hi Nick,
I've never done this but they say to do that with a soldering iron and a tip that would be used for that type of cut. Good luck I'm sure the fabric people will chime in for you.

Re: make a hole
You should put a fabric patch on the area to double the thickness, then you can melt a hole with the soldering iron. The Ceconite manual will have specifics.

Re: make a hole
Thanks, John. I was afraid of that answer.
Now I have to buy a bunch of chemicals that I don't have. But, should be fun and a learning experience!

Maybe you can find someone who already has the stuff. You only need a tiny amount.
