KY97A issue

Hi everyone, I am a new member and had a question . I recently encountered an issue and was wondering if anyone else has experienced it before. I have a ky97a comm, it was working fine, but recently the squelch has been intermittent. Sometimes it won't go back to quiet after a transmission ends and sometimes it just randomly breaks squelch. If you push the ptt it closes the squelch but it keeps recurring. I'm thinking maybe a ground issue?

Start with the simple stuff, connections and phone (mic) plugs. It sounds like a wiring issue. I would check your phono plugs, if they are loose and turning, it allows two wires to touch. If wiring is good top to bottom, send your radio to a radio shop.

Probably way too simplistic, but, it sounds like the squelch is just set too sensitive. Or, one of your mikes is picking up something new.
