Hello, everyone. I picked up a 1947 120 with an O-290-D2 a couple months back and have been having way too much fun with it. I thought I would drop in and say, "Hi."
I'm in the Moab area so I have endless access to backcountry airstrips and have been using that to my advantage. If anyone comes through the area, I would be happy to show you around.
Those are some great pictures Joshua! That's some wonderful country - I love the clouds too. If you would, please post a few more pictures in the "Member Aircraft" section.
Occupation-Interests: DoD contractor test engineer for the US Army Cargo Helicopter Program Manager's Office. Avionics and data transfer wizard, retired CH-47 Instructor Pilot. CFII Airplane and Helicopter

I'm down in SoCal but I'd love to head up to your area sometime. I think I saw you on IG the other day.
Yep, I am part of the unofficial "Miniwagon Mafia" and have been accused of being the ringleader of the Utah chapter. Probably stalked you on IG as well. Dustin aka FlyingFiddler has also mentioned making another trip out here. Let's make it a thing!

I'll try and get on that. I have taken plenty of photos, that's for sure.

If I'm ever in the area, I would positively look you up, that looks FANTASTIC!
Thanks for posting the pictures! What strip is this?
This is "Happy Canyon" UT97. I affectionately call it "Unhappy Canyon." It isn't the friendliest of strips but the views, history, and surrounding climbing opportunity is wonderful!
