Ferry Pilot Needed

Post by 6183 »

Good friend of mine has purchased a 1946 Cessna 140 in southern Florida, and needs a ferry pilot to fly the aircraft located near West Palm Beach up to the panhandle of Florida within the next 7 days (I offered to go, but now that I'm on Medicare he expects that I'm going to require a daily nap that will eat into the flying time). If anyone has a contact or can ferry the aircraft please contact me via PM, and I will pass the information on to him.

I’d do it, but the 2500 miles to get there might exceed the time frame.

Thanks Randy, but we can all cease fire on this one, a ferry pilot in West Palm has offered to fly it up to the panhandle.

If it's that corroded, cracked junk plane in FL that was on Barnstormers..... You'd have to be nuts to fly that thing. Gear box is junk, both posts a are cracked, tailwheel mount crack, whole plane is covered in corrosion... Good luck with that one.

Hmmm, it looks like inquiring eyes will see if it is! Personally I don't purchase any airplane unless these baby blues do the lookin and these calibrated fingers do the touching.

It's not this one pardner. This one is near perfect for the age of the aircraft. Came out of an estate sale that had (5) five airplanes, several twins and high performance singles and this great little 140.
