Great story Jack, enjoyed it.

Flight lesson #3 is in the logbook, the start of "Ground Reference Maneuvers". I would say that I'm doing average so far, and mostly I'll brave that statement, because the instructor said I was doing "well". And if you knew Mr. C, you'd know he certainly wouldn't just say that to be nice.

Maintained altitude pretty well, and didn't end up in the next county after turning around a point for awhile with some active wind. And S-turns across a road were somewhat perpendicular to it. More hours will be spent on this.

Missed a lesson last night due to high winds, the summer "Polar Inversion" came into southwest Mi with abit of force. Wierd to wear a sweatshirt even up here, in (what is supposed to be) the heat of summer! Lesson #4 is scheduled for Friday, I have to remember to take some pix of the 172 I'm flying, it's somewhat interesting....

And Waco Co. aircraft covering Gal Mary stopped by and looked over the C120 project wings, and we'll be getting together after Oshkosh to begin their covering. I'm excited to have such expert assistance with this part of the restoration process!

Check out this prop, I'll tell you what it is next post.

Unfortunately, this is the end of the recovered thread. The secret of the prop will remain a secret...
