Looking for a ferry pilot and instructor

Post by 8451 »

Hello all,

I will need a ferry pilot for a 120 soon. The plane is at 71J (Ozark, AL), going to VPC (Cartersville, GA). The plane is airworthy and everything works.

I’m also looking for an instructor to get some transition training once the plane reaches its new home.

If you know someone or have a recommendation please contact me.

I've edited the topic to reflect that I'm also looking for a transition instructor.

You might consider putting more location information. We don't all speak fluent AirportID.

Good point, John! I'm planning to keep the plane in Cartersville, GA. The airport it's coming from is Ozark, AL.

Danial, have you considered making the flight with an instructor? It's only about 191 statute miles and would be a nice "fam" flight.
I fly up that way pretty often (from Tampa to Pine Mountain) and it's a really nice flight.

John, you mean you haven’t yet memorized the identifiers for over 4,000 airports? :o

Yes, it would be very courteous to fill in at least the state rather than make people look it up, especially when you’re asking for help.

I used to know most of them, but my memory ain't what it used to be... ;) (Actually, if it's not a major airline hub or within 100 miles of here with a good restaurant, I probably don't know it...)

Yaaaaaa for 6643. I wish everyone would tell us where they are or where there going instead of using airport ID's so we don't have to do a search to find out. It would only require a few more key strokes. One of my pet peeves.

I’ve taken my beating. Post is updated with actual locations now.

To those who referred some ferry pilots to me, thank you.

I am still searching for a CFI in the Cartersville, GA area.
