Check your tach. I would start there.
Remote control aircraft electronic tachs (tach checkers) are small, cheap and very accurate.
Something is not adding up here.
Do you get 2200 on the ground?
If so I could almost guarantee you are getting more than 2200 in flight

Re: 0200 rpm not coming up oat 2200
Thanks for all who got back to me on the tach issue. Yes it is a solid 0200. And the proplem was the tach. Itself. Off 300 rpm. I bought a true tach and put it on glare shield for the flight back to illinois from montana. Was a great trip. And the true tach worked great. Im wondering if the tach has an oil port. Maybe that will help bring rpm up. If not ill need to get this one refurbished or keep using the glare shield tach.

P. S. Sorry it took so long to reply. Been super busy. Thanks to all.

Glad you worked out the RPM issue. So, not to beat a dead horse, but, have you also resolved the issue of approval for that prop on an O-200?

Re: 0200 rpm not coming up oat 2200
I recently hung a freshly and carefully overhauled O200 on my 140. I also had low RPM at first. Static was 2300 and it wouldn’t pull much more rolling down the runway on my first test flight attempt. Found a few things and sorted them out for an indicated 2365 or so. Randy was kind enough to give me prop static information even though it is not done on his STC. I was so close that I flew it after retiming and wiring mags properly. It then pulled strong down the runway. I now have 2.6 hours on the engine and the indicated RPM has increased just like Randy described.
My alternator isn’t charging now, so I have something else to sort out before completing the break in.

Def an 0200. There was a field approval for the mccauly prop. Seems the tachometer is bad

I recently hung a fresh O200A on my 140 and it wouldn’t spin up like I thought it should. I have about 6 hours on it now and I think what Randy said is what happened with mine. I think the tach just needed to loosen up some. It runs strong and now pulls the revs I expect. Now if I can just cure the oil leak.
