Hi All,
I have the tank out of my metalized wing to make repairs. I want to replace the rubber between the strap and the tank. McMaster Carr has 5 different hardness (durometer). Any suggestions what I want to use?
30A (Soft), 40A (Medium Soft), 50A (Medium), 60A (Medium Hard), 70A (Hard)
Thanks for your suggestions.
Dave

Re: Fuel tank straps
Just pick one. Rubber is better than felt. The average is 50 so that might be the best one.

Re: Fuel tank straps
I'd try 50 also. Duro 30 is very soft; felt isn't really that soft at all. You want it more for abrasion protection than cushioning.
