Best I recall, the Sky Catch design fits and functions well for the 120-140 (vs. 140A) with the receiver on bottom of door and "catch" on the strut(?). It may be adaptable to the 140A, but would probably still require a serviceable catch at the wing attach(?). A great option if it works, in any event. Mac

Looks like the "Sky Catch" must be what I have on my 140. Works well.

Yep those are the ones I have on my 140. My dad has them on his 150 as well. Work great and won't wear out in a few years....

Yep. Although I'm thinking that it's the tab on the wing that's broken on the OP's 140A and that's what costs so much...even the "serviceable used" are pricey. Yes, thats the problem, the part on the wing is broken. I was leery about drilling those rivets out that hold it on as I was thinking that was the bottom of the fuel tank, like a wet wing would be, but the tanks are separate correct? Thanks Mac...yes, at least it is the pilots door so I can hold onto it and be careful opening, but I want to fix it.

Any pilot who can handle a chopper can easily hang on to a flapping door! Seriously, there's gotta be a simple (...relatively) way to R & R as well as a reasonably priced replacement out there. There'll be more help here at some point, & we'll keep an eye out for the part. Mac
