Cessna 150 Seat Installation?
I am in the process of finishing up the restoration of a Cessna 120 and have a pair of 150 seats and seat rails that I want to install. I have a copy of a drawing " Cessna 150 Seat Installation" by C.R. Fowler and the write up for the 337 to be used for the field approval. There is a reference to C.R.'s 337 does any one have a copy of the Field Approval 337? I will be sending the 337 request for field approval and it would be helpful if I had a past approved 337 to send as approved data. It would also be very helpful if it was approved by the Atlanta FISDO. Thanks Earl Evans

FWIW, David Lowe is working on an STC to install C-150 seats in a 120/140. Knowing the process, it's hard to say how long it will take.

Re: Cessna 150 Seat Installation?
I sent David a letter Saturday and will let you know when I get the information on the STC.
I weighed my OEM seats and my C150D seats. 140 seats: 28.6 lbs (2 bottoms and back). Both 150 seats: 21.6 lbs (without the rails and what ever else will be necessary to attach the rails). Depending on the weight of the attachment parts, the weight savings may be a significant gain as well as comfort/adjustment. And I like "light"!

Re: Cessna 150 Seat Installation?
I would like to install C150 seats in my 140. I just started looking into this and any guidance will be appreciated. I understand David Lowe has an STC.
Where is the best place to find seats or seat frames that can be recovered? (I saw a video on youtube about installing complete new seats using old frame.)
Are there any particular models of seats that are preferred?
Thanks,
Gary Ward
