Just swapped out my Eisemann's for TCM with harness. Slick's are OK. I have always had better service from TCM/Bendix. Don't forget spark plugs and "P" lead inspection to finish out the installation.
I would be interested in your list of parts purchased..
Where they overhaul exchange units?
Did you buy a harness set complete, ie a set that inclusded L & R or individuals.
Did you need to purchase fitting clamps as the Eisemanns have a slotted lobe that fits over the studs.
You might look into this new magneto from surefly its a solid state with no impulse and a hotter spark, replaces one of the bendix or slick impulse coupled mags and takes the slick harness, If I had to replace a magneto I would seriously look into putting money into this. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/pages/ep ... -17074.php

Ditto, my next magneto replacement will be one of these units. I've seen a few installed and so far they are working great.

Hey Victor. Maybe you can confirm but it looks like I wouldn't be able to use the SureFly on my 120. The reason, I did the Odyssey battery conversion and according to the SureFly requirements, a 12 volt battery must have a minimum capacity of 20AH. Looks like the Odyssey only has 15AH. I could be reading this wrong but if I'm not, that would be something to keep in mind. This was from the SureFly installation instructions:
"2.4. Power Requirements:
The airframe must be equipped with a 12-Volt battery having a minimum capacity of 20AH or a 24-Volt battery having a minimum capacity of 8.5AH."
