0200 case
Have to rebuild my c85: case not repairable due to separation of center journal bearing support at stud, actually broke through casting inside, somehow stayed together!, crank sent out for service, Hopefully usable. Had continuous prop seal oil leak that finally warranted opening case, fortunately found it in time. Have a 0200 case, is it the same as a c85? Can I use my original serviceable (?) crank in the case? If not, looking for an 0200 crank. Tks, Fred

Contact Divco. They may be able to repair your case.
Is your crank tapered? If so, look very closely at the nose for a spiral crack which would cause the oil leak. Broken cases at the center bearing and damaged cranks are often tied to a prop strike.
Your guts will fit in the O200 case, but you'll have to deal with the different mounting system; either use adapters or get a 140A engine mount. You would end up with a C85-14.

Check with Aircraft Specialties. They have the STC for the C85/0200 crankshaft mod. The might have what you are looking for. I thought I saw an STC for the c85 crank in an O200 on their web site.

Thank you for your input. Have to rebuild engine completely. Plane painted and new interior, pristine condition, engine had 3100 tt with 1100 since major, very fortunate decided to open it up. No indicators of a problem, other than prop seal history.

No damage history whatsoever, not tapered shaft. Will go with c85 case and 0200 crank when found.

Break in after overhaull
Rebuilt with C85/0200 aircraft specialty kit, STC, new Millinium cylinders, plus just about everything else..looking for comments from past break in experience. Have reviewed Shell and Continental articles and awaiting more info from shop. Should get engine back next couple weeks. Will have 4 new pistons available in that crank kit includes them, as does new cylinders.Tks.

Break in wise, change the oil after the first 15 min or so, a couple of ground runs.
Most of the wear/break in occurs very quickly and you want that out of the oil.
Then once flying do NOT baby it, fly it hard and of course run it rich don’t lean it.
I’d do another oil change at about 5 hours and one at 25, and then normal intervals. Oil is cheap, don’t save money with oil changes.
On edit, limit ground runs to shorter ones, no long high power ground runs. They don’t cool well or evenly during ground runs and you don’t want to glaze a cylinder from overheating, new tight cylinders will run hotter initially.
Pre-oil it, be sure to establish good oil pressure and oil flow before you start it, and of course if it’s pre-oiled oil pressure on start up should be immediate.

We always used Straight weight Mineral oil for the first 25 hours.
Never had a problem with the rings seating.
