Well I like fabricating parts, so I guess thats why I do it. :)

And, with every tick of the clock it becomes more and more important that you (and, others) are willing to tackle fabricating parts and pieces that may well not be available all too soon...important to maintain proactive focus on those things that can keep us safely flying and that might not be available otherwise in the future IMO. Good job! Keep us posted. Mac

Will do. I like to tinker and I want to keep us safe and affordable. Next up is window latches that don't cost $300 each and affordable engine cowling latches. I am never going to pay $25 for a piece I can fab. I get it that time is money, but I'm either going to be watching TV or making aircraft parts in the shop. For me the choice is clear.

"...watching TV or making aircraft parts in the shop. For me the choice is clear." :!: AMEN TO THAT!! It'll be exciting to see the window latches -- are you planning to have a "knob" or solid aluminum on the "push down end" (you may not be that far along yet?)? And, wow -- if you can come up with practical cowling latches "upgrade" that don't require extensive installation you'll see a lot of interest. Yep, please keep us posted on these and any more yet developing in the "drawing board of your mind"! Mac

I will probably 3d print knobs for the window latches or make them from wood. Not that far down stream yet. After paying $23 for a cowling latch part they are already in the design phase :)
