Terra TXP-720

Post by 6643 »

Does anyone have an old Terra hand held transceiver TXP 720? I'm trying to determine the original chemistry of the batteries and the voltage output of the AC adapter. I keep downloading "the manual" and ending up with the installation manual for a panel mount TX 720 instead.

TIA

Thanks! If you could get the data, and a pic, of the charger that would be awesome! (I have box of adapters, but don't know if the right one is in there.) I don't suppose you have the manual, do you?

I found a manual. Thanks! FYI, the original batteries were NiCads.

Still looking for specifics on the charger, though, particularly Voltage and current output.

I have the radio and couldn't find the charger or the manual. If you want the radio, I will mail it to you in return for a donation to the museum in the amount you think the radio is worth plus shipping cost. I will send a pic of the radio if you want. 734 645-3187 cell.

Generous offer, but, then, I'd have two radios and no charger!

Hi John,

extrapolating from this thread it looks like 12 volts is the answer....
