Good evening,
I would like to refinish the yokes on my 140A. I've read lots of posts reference PTTs on the yokes but would like advice on how/if I can strip the paint, and what product to use to repaint.
Regards,
Ray

Re: refinish yoke
I painted mine with original Imron 30 years ago. Still look new.

Re: refinish yoke
Our Assoc. Prez has produced some very nice refinishing of controls & is, in fact, well respected in the painting/refinishing biz. I'm confident that he'd share some excellent methods and products available. Contact email is: colorfastinc@sbcglobal.net or https://cessna120140.com/leadership/contact-jeff/ . If you're going to make Sun-N-Fun, be sure to stop by the Type Club HQ and see him there. Mac

Re: refinish yoke
Thanks for the complement Mac . I have restored some 20 of the later style yokes to date. Custom colors or as close to the stock look also. The control tube I have "Hard chromed" and I have made the tooling to press the original tubular rivets to hold the yokes to the tube. I have sets in stock to restore or have done a exchange with cores. I will also take any calls or e-mails to assist with anyone willing to restore theirs themselves .
