Thanks for the stripaper advice. Airplane is low time so I doubt there will be an issue but we will be sure and look for the cracks at the steps. Thank you!

I removed a bent gear leg to replace it a while back. I made a cradle from a saw-horse and a cushioned fuselage shaped wooden support on the top of the saw-horse. I believe I was cautioned to tie down the tail due to the cradle being close to the CG? Just a thought.

I do something similar with Randy's jack pad...put a thick microfiber rag between the jack pad and the gear leg...no paint damage.6863 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 12:39 pm Randy's jack pad works well for me. Regarding bottle jack use, I find the bottle jack adequately stable if I set the tail wheel on an upside-down bucket to give me a longitudinally level airplane.
