Realistically...

The Univair valve looks like a good solution, at least for the "L-R-Off" crowd. I can't imagine it would be a problem to get it approved in a "Both" plane. Maybe require a manual update, but no reason it won't work as expected.

Agree with that John. I would think that modifying the "cone" or "spindle" that turns from a 90 degree hole pattern to that with a three hole pattern of 90 and 180 degrees to select fuel flow for L-R-Both-Off would be doable without too much of an issue. However, I'm not familiar with how the valve offered by Univair or for that matter by Spruce (both offer the same valve) looks inside.

I'm seeing a simillarity of all these valves that look like drop in replacements for our old beater Weatherhead valves. Of course legalities outweight function. They all seem to have the same footprint as the Weatherhead and are an improvement over the old brass on brass arangement.

We ended up going with the one from mcfarlane or whatever for 686. One less thing to think about.
