I found these FLIGHT MANUAL's in the aircraft records and would like to now if the group would like to post these on the web site. I could email higher resolution for the ones that would be posted to the web site.

Thanks for the 140A flight manual. I went thru all my paper work and didn't have it, and couldn't find it on the internet.

High res. copies would be great if you can get them posted to the site.

Does anyone know if the propellor avoid range of 1950 to 2170 for the metal prop is for all metal props, or just the Mcauley?

Restricted ranges are prop specific. The McCauley restriction was lifted by McCauley SB13.

Thanks, it could have been an engine resonance range, and or the combination of engine / prop.
I thought avoid ranges for a two blade were unusual, and I had not been avoiding those RPM’s in fact I’d say I’m in them most approaches, to say nothin of the 1800 RPM run up RPM.

Four blades and more due to reactionless mode are common, and really, really need to be adhered to.

So there are NO RPM avoid ranges?
I wondered why no yellow range on the tach.

The plane was originally certified with a wooden prop, so no restricted range on the tach. When the McCauley prop became available, McCauley issued SB-12 listing the restricted range and adding a placard to the panel. (I have been unable to scare up a copy of SB-12). SB-13 rescinded SB-12, so the placard can come off.

There is a yellow arc on my tachometer for my C-90 which I have been respecting in the 13+ years I have owned the airplane. Has the restriction been rescinded for the C-90 as well?
