I'm Steve Williams. I'm a restorer. I restore everything. I'm now finishing up a 1910 "Greenlee" Variety Woodworker (machine) that is going to the Smithsonian's National Museum of Industrial History. www.greenleediscovery.com
I'm an old Vietnam UH1H pilot and am still flying. I've built 2 Lancair race planes in my life. I'm now wanting to put the last nail in the 'ol keg and buy the last airplane of my life. I live in Montana and a 140 would be the cat's meow. As said, I'm an accomplished restorer of everything. I want to buy a C-140 in pieces. A project that someone started and just can't finish. I'm so damnably detail oriented that I don't want to buy someone else's work! That would defeat the object of the project, which is to start from ground up.
So... if anyone has a line on a C-140 in some early stage of restoration that I could buy I would be forever grateful. There's got to be a few in garages or storage units around the good 'ol U.S. of A. that are ready for a new warm, comfy shop, 60 miles from the Canadian border up here in the wilds of Montana!
