I'm looking for some advice on a do it yourself yoke refurbish on my '47 140. They are in pretty fair shape, a little stuff on the right hand one. They had vinyl steering wheel wraps on the when I got it and they were kind of dirty and sticky so I took them off and was kind of surprised find that the rust color coating on the yokes seems to be kind of rubber like.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

Re: Yoke Refurbish
John Cooper, member 6643, has the yoke centers with the Cessna emblem for the yokes. I would bet he has some insight on how to restore them, too.

Thanks for the info.
Mine aren't the ones with the center cap just the plain small yokes, but he may be able to help.

Not really... Powder coating? As far as I know, there was no "soft" coating on the originals.
