I don't know what the 'original' product or dimensions were, I used the black silicon stuff.

If you're not looking for originality, I used this and am very happy: https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/ ... edtape.php

Ok, next related question: I purchased the 1/2" version of this stuff, and pretty sure this is the old stuff that I'm replacing:
https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/ ... -11171.php
It's attached by some unidentified clips, which I suspect are original (wing rib fabric clips, maybe?) and where those have been replaced, it's a loop of safety wire.
Does anyone know what the original attachment method is?
